Hi,

For now we use a Specnor wave and we will by another one for Lead-Free process. We look for an other Specnor but we can have another one from Novastar Model 18FDE. Is someone work with a Novastar wave and do you have some recommandation (concerning options to choose) for lead-free application.

Thanks for your comments Frank

Hi Frank I use an electrovert econopak and am very pleased with it. Electrovert offers a leadfree upgrade to the pot but it is a might bit expensive. Contact them for pricing. In my machine I am going with SN100 distributed by AIM. It might be something to look at. There are companies that will coat the pot and other components. Do a search on this site and I think you will find the information. Best regards, Jay Brower

Speedline Tech sells factory renewed systems. You can get a wave in the $60K range.

a va Frank?

Well, popularity depends on the beholder. Never heard of your "Specnor" machine.

US and Eurolanders take different approaches to conveying boards. * US: Finger conveyors * Eurolanders: Pallet conveyors

Suppliers of wave solder machines that come to mind are: * Electrovert * Novastar Technologies * Seho USA * Sensby * Technical Devices * Vitronics Soltec

Select Industry Directory in the light blue area on the left of this screen. Search it to narrow your search for contacts.

Wasn't specnor a split from Electrovert or maybe it was the other way around. I believe specnor is Canadian. I have bought replacement parts for my EV650C ultrapak from Specnor.

Plus my 1991 vintage Ultrapak was made in Canada!

I am sort of familiar with Specnor Tecnic myself from work at a previous employer. Yes, they are a group that split of from Electrovert and actually compete with Electrovert in their spares market. Don't know how that's legal but they seem to be doing it openly.

I talked to them recently about lead free conversions and they are offering a kit that's pretty competitively priced that is supposed to be adaptable to pretty much any machine (we discussed an Econopak and they said it was a slam dunk). Don't know about Novastar, but it might be worth a call to them. Contact info. s/b at specnor.com
