In this world nothing is free. There is always someones who like to take the benefit for some others hard work. If something is free, then it is most likely worth exactly that money spend on it... However, there are some "free" publications or documents on almost everything; what are You looking for?

We will be happy to help You out; if You can provide us with some information on what You need and why. There is so much on this topic, so it is almost not possible to fulfill Your needs, without knowing what exactly You are loking for. Or, perhaps You are only looking for general information about PCBA assembleing? /sincerely,

You are not going to find those for free.

Don't be cheap! An education is worth the money.

Plus, I'm sure these people worked hard on their books and deserve to be paid.

Ray Prasad is good reading, the other three are lame and not worth the money. Ray also has other services if you're interested.

Sure, industrial development is a valid rationalization for theft. :P

I'm sorry, but taking money out of someone's pocket to advance your own capability is not justifiable. These guys didn't write these books to give them away any more than Microsoft developed software to give it away. They just have (a lot) more cash to spare.

There are free papers available on line that might include some of the information that you seek, but those items you listed do not come for free.

China, with its manufacturing prowess can hardly be considered poor or third world anymore. Plus "poor" or "third world" is a mind set that needs to be overcome more than anything else.

as a FYI, there are special "third world editions" of most books available that are cheaper (without the frills like hard covers, glossy pages and color pictures). i think its a good middle way to get education cheaper, without cheating the author or the publisher.

Okay, "LeRRY" . In light of recent postings where certain individuals keep touting their "free stuff", funny how THIS post suddenly surfaces, and "free material", which has recently been shoved down the forum participants' throats, also surfaces on this thread, and is mentioned among other publications from prominent SMT authors...

Okay, Ear..I mean..Moo....er...um, I mean "LeRRY".

In my prior posting, I didn't exactly understood what You have in mind. I now understand that You want to get something for free, that everybody else need to pay for. If this is only for personal use so that You will be more skilled at Your work? Then we can understand it, but Not necessarily agree with it. On the other hand, could it be that Your are working for a company, that in the end will compete with us under unfair circumstance??? I am sorry for my poor english and I wish You the best of luck. Don't forget that You will be able to find a lot of good useful information here at this forum by using the SMTnetSearch for tips & tricks on almost any topic, that are Not printed in any books. /Sincerely Ps. Moon... is OK! Remember that the moon has 4 phases and 2 face, one brighter than the other... Ds.

Surely not? I thought it was all free & we were heathens (at least I'm guessing that's what the cable guy insult was meant to mean)for not welcoming it with open arms.

O well, back to my biggest technical problem of the next two weeks - what SPF rating to go for.
