Need help on Mydata TP9-2U | 14 November, 2005

We just bought a used TP9-2U, I could not do a W-wagon camera calibrate. It keep saying "Calibrate failed, can't located all point", I do not know what should I do next. I did refocus the camera but it still does not help. Please help

You should contact MYDATA service department and see what advise their phone support people can offer. You may not be doing the process correctly (wrong calibration boards, etc...)

What are you trying to calibrate? I think you mis-typed...there is no W-wagon. I think you meant X-wagon camera. I have never seen one of these go out of cal. Why do you think it needs calibrated ?

If your problem is happening part way through the calibration the problem might be there is too much friction from your Y-wagon. Measure the friction on the Y-wagon using the service program if it fails or if it is near the max allowed try oiling up the bars under the Y-wagon really good then run the Y-wagon conveyor from one end to the other a ton of times. Then clean the rails good. This will remove a lot of the grime accumulated in the guides from years of use. Apply a light coating of oil to the rails and try the calibration again. If it still fails then either one or both of your guides are worn badly or you have a bad spot on your rails that the guides are getting hung up on. Hope this helps.
