PCB Panelisation

All,

I would like to learn more about the panelisation of boards.

Are there any "rules of thumb" when approaching a PCB that requires panelisation.

What are the most reliable connections from breakout piece to boards i.e V-score , drilled tabs etc.

Any feedback is appreciated.
