MV2C PCB Camera -- Need replacement | 6 June, 2005

Hello there,

We have a Panasonic MVIIC with a bad PCB camera. The amp is fine, we tested that by swapping it with the small and large parts camera. When the machine is shut down for a while and we bring it back up, it takes hours for the PCB camera to begin to function. So, that's a bad thing.

What's worse is that Panasonic does not stock the camera, and they have told me that the only thing we can do is send it in for repair, which will take 3 months or something. I guess I could have Panasonic swap the large parts camera (not much used on this machine) with the PCB camera so we could continue running while our PCB camera is out for repair, but I'd rather not do that.

I have been searching the web for someone who might supply a used or refurb camera, but I haven't been successful.

Does anyone know of a supplier or have any other ideas?

He is in California and seems to do more panasonic stuff than anyone else. I have bought and sold stuff from/to him, he is a good guy. Maybe also CE-Exchange.

By the way, forget what I said about swapping the large parts with the PCB camera. I thought in my MVIIF training course they said all three are the same... Maybe they are on the MVIIF, but definately not on the MVIIC.

Thanks for the leads. They both said they might have one and they are checking into it.

I was right the first time! All three cameras are the same. It was the Panasonic help desk that told me they were not. Checking in the manual shows all three have the same part number.
