You may want to start a parallel thread for Philips Emerald, which is the same machine.

Nope, not using it, but have some experience with it.

Reliable, versatile, accurate. It is not in a league of its own, but it does everything you want it to at a level you expect it to. Never let me down. It is pretty much like a Toyota family car. It's got all it needs to get the job done comfortably without having to go through a great efforts. And in case you do need to 'boldly go where no man has gone before' its settings and parameters can be manipulated (and restored!) fairly easy in order to make it do stuff that is not in the brochure, but be carefull though: it would be like disabling the ABS on y'r car... It can be good fun, but it can also put you in the repair shop...

I guess that basically sums it up.

Been working with philips/yamaha/assembleon equipment for 21 years. I worked at 4 different places, all with this type of equipment. Had nothing but good luck with all the different models, Eclipse,Emerald,Topaz, comet and saphire. Very repeatable and very little down time.
