Hi,

Anyone using this in production? Our company is looking into this model (used). Board size up to to 8"x10", max layer=12, single and double side SMT, medium density mostly passives, max QFP/BGA on board=7-10, 1,000-3,000 boards/wk.

Can anyone direct me where I can get specs (ERSA website does not have it). Is this 5-heat zone (5-top,5-bot) oven? Is there a cooling zone?

Any info esp. specs would be appreciated. No sales pitch please just the specs.

ersa is one of the best machine in the industry now. However, price and after sales service is no good. I suggest you buy a low cost China made reflow oven. I know China made reflow oven cost at $20k for a 5 zones lead free

Getting the specs for a used machine will be tough from Ersa but at least send them a note, the seller should also be able to get the info for you.

In regards a 5 zone system. I would suggest at least 7+ zones if your moving to lead free. A 5 zone will do it but it does become difficult to fine tune the profile at times. Also consider N2, this does help for the spreading of lead free material.

Who can blame anyone for having lousy service in China when there's twenty companies selling cheap throw away ovens for $20K new. What's surprising is why would BTU, Ersa, Vitronics and Heller even try to sell over there anymore.
