Sony SI-E1000-III & E2000 | 8 July, 2004

Folks,

Anybody know if Sony SI-E1000-III & SI-E2000 placement machines are any good? Are the reliable and consistent down to 0402 components?

Thanks Mark

Siemens SI-E1000-III & E2000 | 8 July, 2004

Although I do praise the reliability of the Siplace line, I've never heard about E1000 and E2000 machines. Siemens usually names their equipment related to feeder capacity or speed. 1000 and 2000 doesn't fit in this convention. Neither could I find these models on the Siemens web-page. http://www.siplace.com

Those are model numbers of Sony placement machines. They were introduced a few years ago but I haven't seen them since.

Now, that I know these are Sony machines, I may also know where the machines are coming from. However, Siemens machines were also used in this plant and one must have got confused here. Here is at least a picture of the E1000 model. http://www.geocities.com/stefwitt/Sony1.JPG

You will have a lot of problems with spare parts, they came from Japan, also service will be very poor, depends on where you are located, where are you?

Sony SI-E1000-III & E2000 | 1 August, 2004

Hello

An asset to any production floor. I worked with the Sony the SI-E1000 and SI-E2000, The SI-E1000 has a 12 nozzle planet head, I actually ran many placement trials with these machines 0603 (metric) 0201 (Imp). What can I say!! capabillity was excellent performance was close to catalogue (real production) Support is no problem. The SI-E2000 is a fine chip placer 1 nozzle with on the Fly nozzle changer. Placement accuracy is perfect ( I am not a sony sales guy, ex service engineer now completely independant) If you require any information or support pls contact me.
