PCB Storage - WIP | 18 June, 2004

I am looking for some resources and opinions PCB storage racks. Currently, we use the typical oard rack that stands the PCB's up on edge. Q1)Where is a good source to get more of these?

Q2)What are the alternatives to this style of board rack? (needs to be economical.)

Contact Jim Marquis at Kimchuk, Inc. (203) 790-7800. They are marketing a rack and stack product that allows you to store the pc boards flat. It is esd safe and eliminates damage from handling boards. I have been in electronic manufacturing for 20 years and this is the best product I have seen. Ever have an employee pick up a rack of assemblies and drop them? It won't happen with these trays.

The Fancort flat racks are the most economical. That said, the problems encountered when populated boards are placed into the rack you can't utilize all slots. If populated to the edges you can't use at all. There are somewhat economical racks that are built similar to a box. Four sides, open front to back and adjustable width. These are also stackable. Request a catalog and we shall submit. Also we carry the Fancort racks. steve
