I think it might just be zcr. At least that is what it is for our oven.

That gets me into the main operating system but most of the menue's prompt for another one. Also when you exit it asks for one to go to dos. ZCR does not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

At that point, there is no password for our oven. I just hit enter when it asks for the password without typing anything in. I'm not sure if we just set it up that way or if that's the way it came, hopefully it will work for you.

FYI: ZCR, British oven maker, was purchased by Quad many moons ago. When Tyco bought Quad, ZCR was not part of the deal. In fact I think production had stopped in the U.K. facility by then. Tyco has no legal obligation to suppoort these ovens.

Well if I know Tyco (like most other assembly folks) they probably want a registration fee before divulging any info about their product. I am having the same problem with a Quad ZCR 941 running Ver 2.9 s/w on a dos bootable diskette. On start-up it runs a .bat file called ZCR.bat at which point it then asks for a password but does not provide you with an area to input such, but if you hit the space bar returns you to the dos prompt and the cycle continues. I would appreciate any insight into the password/process required to get the unit up and running to test it's functionality. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Regards, John.

Passwords for the ZCR / QCR did change with the version of S/W. I believe that from version 2.9 onwards the password to start the S/W from the DOS prompt is "quad" [all lower case]. Pre version 2.9 please type "zcr" [All lower case]. This will enable you to start the S/W from the "please press space bar restart" message.

Once in the S/W if the process password has been enabled, you will have to enter it before you can edit any process parameters, factory setting is "quad"

There is also a config screen which we can enter, press CTRL + [F1] to show the password prompt screen, password is "muriel" (the programmers wife's name!) From here you can enable / disable and change the process password.

I would recommend great care when working within the config screen.

Does anyone know where to get training for a quad ZCR oven? We recently bought a used oven from a company that told us they could train but then determined they did not know the machine so we are stuck with the unit with no knowledge of how to use it. We contacted TYCO, but they want $250/hour to train.
