Any of the rework solder pot manufacturers such as AIRVAC or other wise have any suggestions on what to do with having lead-free solders in the rework fountain solder equipment ? nozzzles, pumps and flow ducts

seems that no published information is easy to find for this particular issue ?

Titanium components are best for any suface in contact with lead free solder. We will be offering our brand solder fountain rework station utilizing Titanium components in July. Lead-Free solders seem to adhere to SST or cast pots and cause blockages in the nozzles etc.. Also consider the temp range of the pot. You will need a pot that can maintain a slightly higher temp with lead-free solders.

There are coatings available for Stainless that will greatly retard the solder from wetting to/eating the metal. This may be a cheaper route to go than Using all Titanium.

The coating is melonite QPQ (quench-polish-quench)I really don't have any more details as to where/how and whatnot. You may want to contact a local cookson/electrovert rep. for more details.
