Solder Paste Glove ... Bend Over And Cough | 31 August, 2000

Yins: So, what kind of gloves do yall (and your operators) use when handling solder paste and used (pasted) stencils? What was the thought behind that decision? Thanks

We use a single use, vinyl glove. It is supplied by Ansell Edmont Industrial, it's called 'Duratouch Stretch II'

Hope this helps.

Hi Dave,

we use those one-time-use plastic? stuff that comes in a "kleenex-box". Purpose is to keep the paste from the fingers. Although its seen that you wont take Pb through your skin, it sticks to it (the skin and under your nails) and is hard to be removed through normal handwashing causing the danger of being swallowed with your next sandwich which is much more harmful. And what about the other stuff in your paste, I wouldnt put it on my bread either.

Keep the waste together, Dont take it home

Wolfgang
