Via in Pad for BGAs

Well the socket did not work out so we then placed the bga directly on the PTH. 1st we filled all of the PTH with solder, and placed the BGA (we only used Paste flux). Well that one board tested out ok, but with a sample size of 1 who knows what would happen in production volumes (one consideration, its easy to repair open solder joints). Hope this helps Mike
