Solder masks for gold fingers

Solder masks for gold fingers | 4 June, 1998

I have gold fingers that I want to mask when running over the wave without pallets. They're on the leading edge of the board. I recall seeing rubber boots that slid onto the fingers to mask them. Pop 'em on before the wave; pop' em off after and re-use. It seems so much easier than peelable mask. Only problem is: I can't remember where I saw them or who sells them. Anybody know where I can get some?

Ask Ron for a sample and he'll do it! I use Metalic Resources Four 9's bar solder, Interflux products and have been extremely happy with JC Supply. I get dross buckets, solder analysis, pot swap when Sn is not just right and...and...next day and at no cost. I am happy as %#$@&! to pay 3.50/# for bar solder when I get all this immediate service in most cases same day! Take that Kester, Alpha,... They rep good products and if your on the floor and not the fone then you will appreciate their services. Sorry...bit off subject but I like to advertise a good thing technology, service, or whatever makes things flow more efficient! Works for me.
