fuji cp-4 vision system | 14 July, 1998

We just have a use cp4 .I have a problem on transfering data between cp3 to cp4 .when I use the data for cp4 I can't have parts in correct location. Is that normal? or it's because that has a different vision system.if so.how can i do with it.the data is transfered from MYDATA TP9-2.It's fine for cp3 but cp4.

Is your Cp4 using SMD2 or Smd3 vision, this will determin if the PD's need extra data. What data are we talking about?? Transfering a working cp3 program to a working cp4 program is no harder than changing the machine type. Maybe you have a problem with a particular part on placement, a leaded part maybe?? Would like to help more but need more info!

If one of your machines was not calibrated properly, this would cause the difference in placement location. If you think this is the case, re-calibrate both machines and make the required placement changes in the program. This should solve most placement location problems that you might run into...One more pointer, make sure all the part locations are take from true CAD data. -Ben
