You guys have made a wonderful improvement to the SMTNet. Things I like: 1 Speed speed speed 2 Faster response time when posting a response. In the past I kept "pounding" the post button, trying to get a window for it to take. 3 Search of archived messages Things I'd like: 1 Ability to edit posted messages 2 Choice on how searches are presented, for instance: 2a "Topic, Author, Date" only 2b Line-up responses under original postings of a thread 3 Using the whole screen Dave F

| Things I'd like: | 1 Ability to edit posted messages | 2 Choice on how searches are presented, for instance: | 2a "Topic, Author, Date" only | 2b Line-up responses under original postings of a thread | 3 Using the whole screen Dave, Thank you for the comment and suggestions. We are looking into implementing 2a. The rest are more work thus have to be considered in the future. Here are my comments: On 1: Some have used a response as a way to edit the original message. On 2a: You can already choose to do a standard search or a compact one by clicking the search help link. We are thinking of dispaying "subject, author, date" as a result of a compact search. On 2b: Since the search criterion is by best match, results can only be listed accordingly. However, once you find a message, opening that message will lead you to the whole thread. On 3: We need to allocate minimal amount of space to navigation links and advertisers who provide financial support and useful products to our users. If you just want to view the main frame, then right click the screen within that frame and choose to "open frame in new window" (true at least with Netscape Communicator". Thanks again. Cliff

On 1: Yes, you can do an "Opps ..." response, but ... On 3: I understand about the banners and advertisers and that's fine, but what I talking about is the 3" to the right of this message that is unfilled, blank, white. What is that space for? Dave F
