We use two stainless steel slotted spoons from the cookwares section of Wal-Mart.

If your feeling really flush with ash you could contact your wave machine vendor and buy some from them. But I have to admit I do prefer Dave's idea...much cheaper, you'll get it in some kinda timescale rather than the 4 week's your machine vendor will quote and your not gonna cry when you drop them in the pot.

unfortunately when worring about cost, a plastic spoon will not work as one of our brilliant operators found out.

I wonder if the wave was the proper place to work for someone with thought processes like that!!! Although burning plastic is sometimes and nice change from flux fumes!!!

Then again, our hiring rep states that she will never work at a place that employs wave solder machine operators again. Wudda whoos!!!
