Poor Quality Components

We appear to receive certain standard discrete components (1206,0805,&0603)that deviate in size and shape to the extent that vision processing discard rates are through the roof. Does anyone else have problems with vendors being unable to produce consistent component geometries? I have not experienced this problem to this extent in my 10 years in surface mount. Are some vendors growing negletful or careless, or simply following a different standard? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. | As the world gets smaller and a cheaper place in which to live, acceptance criteria is adhered to less. Still, for us, major suppliers seem to be maintaining conformance. However, the company I now work with does continue pressuring both price and quality without sacrificing either - yet.
