Fuji Motor Feeder vs. Hover-Davis?? | 4 March, 1999

Does anyone out there have any information on this new "Fuji Motor Feeder" Price and how it compares to Hover-Davis. I should specify feeders for an Fuji IP-3. Any information would be great. Thanks Larry

Re: . Hover-Davis...no reason to change to Fuji | 19 March, 1999

Having been a FUJI line support engineer for years at my company, I was asked to evaluate the new Fuji feeders by our local Fuji rep. We have been using the Hover MPF feeder for the past 3 years and have had virtually no issues with them. The operators love them and actually hide them to make sure they have them on there line so they don't have to use the FUji pnuematic. The new Fuji feeder weighs approximately twice as much in the 32mm size as compared to Hover and the method to set the pitch (with a small screw driver)is cumbersome. The performance the feeder was what you would expect from Fuji which took over 3 years to develop this feeder. My feeling is that we have no reason to change...3 years of performance history with Hover...knowledge and supply of Hover spares parts...and impectable customer service from HOver-Davis. My personal feeling is that FUJI is three years late with this feeder...and competition is good...ecspecially against FUJI. By the way Hover is running a tremendous program now in which they will take your Fuji feeders in for trade and give you 25% off list price. We are currently converting all of our lines (3) to Hover based on the offer.
