Whatever happened to de Haart Technologies? | 2 July, 1999

I know this is not so much a technical question, but it didn't fit in the Admin Center either!

I was doing some research on screen printers and found a listing in the 1999 SMTA directory for de Haart Technologies in MA.

Are they no longer in business? If so, were they purchased by someone else? If so whom? Did they go bankrupt? Were they abducted by aliens? Their phones are disconnected and their website is defunct, which leads me to believe any self-respecting buyer would have redirected their phones and website.

Any insight into this mysterious disappearance and when it may have happened is greatly appreciated!

Jennifer,

The government closed them down. Rumor is payroll taxes or something on the lines of this. This still has not been confirmed by anyone within DeHaart.

| Jennifer,

DeHaart was sold to an outfit in Singapore several years ago. They have closed down since then. Barbara deHaart did buy the company back at the end I beleive. There was an auction at the facility in May. I'm not aware of any arrangements for service or spare parts, sorry.

If you want more info., try calling the competition. The only one I know well is AMI, 908-722-7100, ask for Paul Hary.
