Help! Cognex computer on MPM AP24x | 13 December, 2000

I am receiving a "cognex not found" error upon bootup of a MPM AP24-X stencil printer. I have checked everything I can find between the cognex computer and the one in the machine. Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. MPM tech support has no idea besides buy a new cognex computer for $18k. If someone has a parts AP I would be willing to rent the cognex to see if mine is dead. Thanks
