What's a good sub for 1,1,1-trichloroethylene

I am looking for some recommendations for a cleaner for rosin flux.

Scott is right, Alpha' 2110 is a good saponifier (be careful though as it can dull your leads).

Saponifiers in general are better if used in an aggressive spray-in-air system. Low agitation immersion systems (heated baths or refurbished vapor degreasers) are not compatible with saponifiers. Saponifiers need a high degree of mechanical energy to force the flux-to-soap conversion.

Saponifiers work well in in-line aqueous cleaners and batch aqueous cleaners.

There are a number of saponifiers available. Some are:

Most important fact!!! Match chemical with equipment. There is no substitute for 1.1.1!

I guess I wasn't too specific. We currently use 1,1,1 for spot cleaning and minimal rework of PCBs. If there is a lot of rework on a PCB we will use water soluble flux and wash it. This may turn out to be our only alternative, but I hate washing a PCB again if I have soldered one pin. Thanks for the input.

If you were cleaning pallets, BTU air amplifiers or other tooling, I could provide some recomendations. However, we are not involved with the post solder cleaning of PCBs. Sorry. Regards, Bill Schreiber
