No offense intended as it's always great to welcome someone not yet tested, shall we say.

What you're building is SMT with nothing else as through hole - unless it's memory I've not yet seen or want in my system. Anything poking through any hole in your boards constitutes through hole componentry.

Enjoy your coming out in the wild world of SMT,

MoonMan

Hi, MoonMan & Wolfgang,

Thank you for your reply. But I am not really understand what's your meaning. I understand that my question is a silly question, but I am not a engineer and I know nothing about SMT. I am just a sales person, and I need to find some business for my company. I think that many professional as yours in here can give me some advise.

Thx

Sorrry, but I guess that's about right in the CM business.

Hell, I admire the way you, for not knowing anything, snuck that message in here with such a neat email/web site attachment. I read your stuff and saw all the pretty pictures. Looks like a nice company, but how can you sell what you don't know? I mean, most of the answers to such questions lie in your back room. Do you go out and touch the machines and boards, while ESD protected of course?

If your company is as nice as it looks, and you are as well I can only imaging, you should be trained in what it can do by getting your hands dirty building stuff before trying to sell it.

My friend Dave said you were probably pulling my chain. I replied by saying you probably don't know to what it is attached. Not getting too carried away, I still think you are a very honest sales type and just a poor little school girl trying to make a living by supporting your shop. If so, why not advertise on this forum? To do so, contact those in charge, whoever they now are.

Few years ago I had a contract in China at a similar place, it didnt last long enough to improve anything cause they wouldnt pay for a. me b. a complete new factory, which was definetly needed and there wasnt any sign that they were willing to allow of improvement. I actually saw what is meant by " abundant human resources" and how lack of equipment and abilities were compensated that way. (500 in assembly and 500 in touchup) Cost me a couple of $ and ended with a nice indian summer holiday in Vermont.

This might not be true for Isabelles place but anyhow the advice for her to look for a good consultant in that specific area - hope there are some-, there is always something to be improved.

I hope the taifun didnt blow my favourite cafe on the peak apart from where you had this absolute nice scenic view to the harbour up to ShenZhen.

Best wishes Wolfgang

You really get around. My hope now is we haven't blown the fair Isabelle away. I mean, she really seems nice, in a sly sort of way, but don't want to mess with her too much as I wish not to offend those who, some day, may take over the earth - if only by shear numbers.

You really ought to hang it out again and make Isabelle (bet she really owns the place) an offer to help. Be sure, this time, you get paid up front.
