Hi Experts, Would you point me into the right direction?

I am looking a way to download data from smt machinery to avoid having to the in-situ machine's panel, and as we have mixed brands in multiple lines, it gets very hard to analize data.

Is there a way to access logs or any kind of database of for this equipments? For example fo the brands VI, Hitachi, Juky, Panasonic, Omron, etc

Hi,

Your question is very complex. Each machine manufacturer (and sometimes certain series in the same manufacturer) has a different data structure: 1. Database (such as SQL SERVER or MSACCESS), 2. Text/LOG and XML files 3. Binary files 4. Form integrated between all the other options that may be complete an information as one piece.

We have developed a solution, called Dashboard, that brings information from different machines including translation in single format and shows a SPC information (online or offline/history). Our solution is developed for some SMT machine manufacturers but we are studying another brands and adding a support.

If you have more questions, you can contact me directly: alexeis@proventustech.com

Hi Alexei, Is your solution opensource?

Yes, I understand that most manufacturers try to sell licenses for their own SPC softwares, however sometime the information is stored in a file that could be opened.... for example hitachi HT-100 has Recall Data which is enought for me, but I have to manually download this information before it reaches 500 lines becouse it gets wiped automatically.

Hi,

Our solution isn't opensource. We are developing and customizing it for each machine output. Also, our solution are checking for new information and importing it automatically in the background process.

If you want more information, you can send me an email: alexeis@proventustech.com

Hello Diego, what kind of statistics you want to collect? From SPI, AOI, Pick and place maybe? Alexei is right, it a complex thing you wanna do. I would suggest doing it line by line in the beginning so you can better define what exactly you want or need. Using a automated solution for different machines will be difficult and expensive (or at least you have to pay for special software). Does your company happen to have traceability software? You can use it if you do.But still you have to make a lot of changes and updates i would assume. I have some experience in dealing with different machines and collecting data, you can contact me to give you more advises.
