MSH Placement trouble | 19 November, 1999

Our Panasert MSH is randomly mixing up the parts placement. About 1 in 10,000 placement will be a wrong part. The wrong part may be any other part present on the feeder carriage. A chip resistor 0805 may be replaced by a minimelf or a sot-23. It is not dependent on the product being run, it happens with all existing product we have. Panasonic technicians told me to check the stopper valves in both the pick-up and placement stations. I also did a ram area clear. I have to replace the stopper valves since the ones on the machine look fine. I don't see how I could test the operation of these stopper valves to catch one failure in 10,000. Anyone has a suggestion?

HI, I BELIEVE LOOKING TOWARDS MACHANICAL PROBLEMS WANT RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEMS.IT SOUNDS MORE LIKE A SOFTWARE OR MAYBE EVEN YOUR CARD GOING BAD. A MACHINE OF ANY BRAND DOES WHAT YOUR PROGRAM TELLS IT TO.IF YOUR PROGRAM SAYS PULL FROM DEVICE 7 AND YOU SAY IT IS GOING TO DEVICE 10 AND PLACING. THAT IS WIERD!I SEEN PANASONIC CHIPSHOOTERS EXPERIENCE STRANGE THINGS WITH A WEAK BATTERY.WHEN YOU DID YOUR RAM INIT.DID YOU CHANGE IT? IF YOU DID NOT YOU CAN TRY THAT.
