Cure Ovens and Cycle Interuption

Cure Ovens and Cycle Interuption | 17 December, 1999

I have an underfill material which takes 6 hours to cure. It works great, better than any other underfill I have ever used. A vertical cure oven is too expensive. I am currently using batch style ovens and opening the oven door as additional product needs to be cured. We are fearful of quality issues associated with opening and closing the oven door while product is in the cure cycle. Anyone ever see a pizza style oven with drawers or separate heated chambers where opening one door or drawer does not affect the cure cycle or temperature of the product already in the oven? Any other comments or suggestions on epoxy curing and oven door opening whould be appreciated. Maybe we are worrying over nothing.

Thanks in advance,

Chris
