hello,

DEK wont start and im getting this error message: motor com error, axis 1,2,3 fatal error, reinitialise machine. this happens about 30 sec after BIOSes are copied to shadow ram. euro sys cards are inserted properly and on segment display is shown No 5 right before error occurs. there is a click inside machine(on monitor is displayed: Loading language) and in that moment on all 4 euro sys cards display segment shows No 8. few seconds after error message appears. o I made about 20 attempts to start machine and succseded only once. tried to run MINT load but it could not communicate with card 0. a have checked voltages, tried to change order of cards(i changed microswitch according to position), checked cables. does anyone know what could cause such problem?

Suspect comms link error from Y3 to Y1 crate. COM 2 off of CPU, depending on board. If CPU board has RS485 port it is direct to back panel of PC; if older board it only has RS232 and thus requires 232/485 converter board (internal to PC). then direct cable from Y3 (PC) to Y1 (Motor control).

Search for the bios or motherboard on ebay. Type in the part numbers you find on the boards and see if anything comes up. Often these are standard pc boards. I've repaired my old MPM by finding the cards on ebay cheap.

Certainly possible CPU board issue; but check PC power supply, that all DCV are present and strong.

there is missing 5V on a lower pin of PL3 connector. can it be replaced with standard PC power supply?

edit: nope, they are not used by default

Yes, wired correctly (5, 12, -12) can easily run on a standard 300W computer PSU.

i have tested voltages on Processor board X12. all voltages are ok and stabil but +VPP (PT8 - TP9), it reads 0 volts
