Philips Topaz not picking up nozzle | 12 May, 2015

Our Philips Topaz is not picking up any nozzles on head 7, or only partially picking it up. Previously, the machine had thrown up a message that head/nozzle 7 needed cleaning, but that message doesn't appear anymore. I don't know if the head needs cleaning, or replaced, or something else.

Is the machine not picking up nozzle from the nozzle changer or is the head 7 not picking up any components? Or is the mis-pick rate too high?

Its not picking up the nozzle from the changer. It either doesn't at all, or leaves the nozzle partially in the changer.

Last time I used Topaz X2 was 5 years ago. Correct me if I'm wrong. There are some reasons: -Head dirty so machine thought there was nozzle on head already. -Nozzle changer/ Nozzle position offset. -Something jammed and nozzle changer can not go all the way up properly, air pressure (?) - What's else? Good luck

I understand from your post that the head does go to the nozzle changer intending to change the nozzle but sometimes it entirely fails to pick up the nozzle and sometimes the nozzle gets picked up a bit but gets stuck in the nozzle changer.

This most always happens if the nozzle pick position is not well calibrated. You can teach this pick position which is quite simple. If your other heads are able to pick up nozzles, there is no reason why head 7 should not. You may just need to re-teach the pick position. It is quite simple.
