Japan Unix Destop Soldering Robot

We have this Robot. We have the large table model from Fancort. We have incorporated the machine into a process where it finishes up the through hole soldering that the selective soldering machine cannot reach effectively. About 2200 joints done with Selective Soldering, and then a quick transfer to the robot to complete the last 56 joints that were not accessible to the selective Soldering machine. We have also used the robot in instances where a higher powered iron is advantageous, due to the mass of the PWB and Component Assemblies. There are places where the robot would thrive, but for sure we did not get it to replace a human, but to provide the human with a better tool.

Easy to program, very repeatable. We would do it again.

Hi George - Better late than never. Nice units but also look at the cost of weekly consumables. Apollo is about the same but their new Comet units being slightly lower on tip costs and PROMATION is the lowest cost of ownership. Send samples to be soldered is also a recommendation.

George. I also wanted to let you know that PROMATION is now an exclusive distributor for QUICK soldering robots. These are about 1/2 the cost and work very, very well.
