First all, I am very new about all this stuff so please forgive me if i say anything wrong.

We are using a universal vcd axial. We had a problem with cut and clinch. We blieve if we lengthen the wreck material going inside the tubes, the problem will be solved. All we need is 0,5-1mm lengthening. Anything in between will give us a good opportunity to consider if we're doing it right.

The question is; How can we manage to lengthen it?

are you trying to lengthen or shorten the lead length? Lengthening the amount of lead being cut off and going into the scrap tube will shorten the lead length. Lead length is pretty much determined by the down stop setting on the insertion head, the angle of the clinch, and the spacing between the anvil and the bottom of the board when the anvil is in the up position. With a properly set up machine you can get lead length from .040" to .100" if I remember correctly. The Universal VCD is an excellent machine if you know how to set it up, and no I don't work for Universal or anybody else as I am retired.
