Vapor Degreasing. Is it coming back? Is it the better choice for your cleaning process? | 17 September, 2013

I am looking for eveyones opinion on this cleaning process. We currently have both inline aqueous and batch for cleaning both water soluble, rosin and no clean fluxes. We have evaluated the vapor degreasing cleaning process and discovered equal if not better cleaning results with quicker cycle times. Has anyone else out there performed evaluations similar? What were your end results and decisions?

I am open to any and all opinions.

That's great Paul. Would you share with us the methods and results of your study of the effectiveness of water versus vapor degreasing cleaning?

Here is what I can tell you... The chemistry we use has adverse reactions with WS fluxes.Vapor degreasing can remove coatings and markings on some components. It can also roach certain types of plastic. On the other hand it works extremely well for removing RMA and NC.
