please help identify a component... | 15 July, 2013

Hi,

Does anyone know what this component is, and where i can order some replacements?

It's a surface mount power connection, I need the female and male replacements, end-to-end it's about 5mm, with three gold contacts, each 1mm or so apart.

Thanks

I think maybe the question was loosely directed to the three pin male terminal inside the red graphic box. But I could be wrong, I could not zoom in very much.

EricR thats correct, i need to 'relocate' the power source so need a male and femal connector, that is the same as the one in the red graphic box.

I was flicking through the "Element14" (previously known as Farnell) BIG catalog (looking at the pictures) far superior to looking via internet. and found the closest to what you are after a five pin version. "Battery Interconnection System" Header, Element14 part number 187-7700. Receptacle, Element14 part number 187-7701.

This has a 5mm pitch spacing, I hope this is a small step to helping you.

By the way: you say the spacing is 1mm. I think you should water your ruler, I think it has dehydrated with global warming.
