I am just being introduced to GemLine and Assembleon. I have been trying to get the programs on two other computers so we get more work done. One is windows 7, the other is vista. I was unable to get PCP explorer or editor installed on the windows 7, but they are installed on the vista os. Now how can I go about registering these lines? Whenever I try to register a line and type in the name, it opens up an excel file that is completely blank. I am completely new to this software, can anyone help point me in the right direction.

Dear Chifutbol, Sir Gemline PPS is not compatible with vista or windows 7. This software product is no longer supported. You need to use XP to run the software and a pc with a floppy or use a usb floppy becuase to register the machinces you need a floppy.

Best Regards, Luis

Hello!

You need an upgrade on AMS3.0 to use it with Windows 7. And then you need a dongle for every PC you want to use it on. And with that step ypu dont need a floppy anymore you can register the machines with usb stick or over network.

All right to expand on this, I've since learned a lot. On the computers running XP, I'm able to register a line no problem. Now I'm trying to get the Windows 7 computer to work. I have the windows virtual pc XP edition installed on here. I was able to install the same software no problem, but am now having issues registering machines. I'm using a fresh floppy, just formatted from the machine, and I'm not able to create a new line. I have to use a USB floppy drive on this computer. PCB explorer says the disk of B drive has not been formatted as a PCB Data disk. So it's not letting me register a line..However if I go into floppy view, I can see files that I've saved on there from my machines.

Sorry for being confusing, hoping someone can help me out here.

Hello, I would like to ask you, if this problem has been already solved. I need to upgrade to a new machine with Windows 7 and I wonder whether it is possible to fully run this software even with virtual XP editions. Thanks for Reply
