Putting wire in a solder pot

I'm not sure, but may be you can exchange it with someone, who need solder wire like your?

Here's the story: * Solder will melt and alloy with the solder alloy that you have in the pot. * Flux will smoke, smell and leave schmutz floating on the surface of the solder in the pot.

While the amount of smoke, smell and schmutz are variables, but I guarantee you that operators working in the area of the solder pot will not be happy that you decided to reclaim the wire during their shift.

Consider an alternative - Reclaim the wire in a two step process: * Empty a tinning pot * Take the tinning pot to a vented hood [outside???] * Melt and skim the tinning pot * Unplug it and let the solder in the tinning pot stiffen * Reheat the tinning pot and transfer the solder to your solder pot
