Wondering how you guys do this.

Scenario: You have to rework a part (small IC or resistor) on a board that has already been conformal coated with acrylic.

What do you do with the post soldering residues before you cover it up with fresh coating? I know what we do, and I have never felt comfortable with the local clean and blot method.

I was wondering if a small vacuum existed, kind of like at the dentist office that could clean and vacuum at the same time? If not, i know what my next project will be!

Thanks, JD

The way you phrased the question implies that your rework uses OA. Why not do low res rework?

Hi Dave, we certainly do use low res. Still not comfortable with leaving anything behind however...Figured some brain would have a product for this.

If not, this brain will have to create one and sell to other brains on this forum.
