Online Production Manuals - Are there any?? | 30 May, 2001

I'm trying very hard to find any online production manuals. Can anyone point me in the right directions.

We have plenty at my place of work, however, they are not allowed to be removed from the factory. The only opportunity that I would have to study these is at home.

I would be eternally grateful for any help on this.

I'll pass on the "eternally grateful" stuff. A frosty at Jimbo's will do just fine.

Go to the sites of the manufacturers of your equipment. Many have on-line manuals. Generally, access to these documents is limited, as you'd expect, to registered equipment owners that pay their maintenance fees.

I imagine bootleg posting of equipment manuals is fairly rare.

What kind of manuals are you interested in? Machine operation manuals? Technical manuals? Production process? If you have an "in-house" print shop, maybe you can arrange to have these manual duplicated. I used to do this before. Talk to your boss about this. Most companies will pay for technical books, so if they can save by duplicating existing one... you know...
