Electroplate Touch up

Good Morning,

I have been working with a company that has a selective electroplate touch up system from Rapid Electroplate. They have used this for repairing gold electroplate. Scratches and in some cases, replating pads that had been contaminated with solder. I did not believe that this was acceptable but the results look great. In most cases, you cannot tell where the rework was performed. I was wondering how many people are familiar with this process and what are the potential issues we could see long term. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
