Mirtec MV-2HTL pen marker: How does it work? | 23 February, 2011

Hi all,

This machine is working good now. I wanted to mark some of the bad stuff with the marker but I can't get the marker to do anything. The options is "installed" and the pen moves if I go to Marker Test. I thought it would put a mark when I hit the no good button when I review but ... nope.

I read in another thread that the uni POSCA markers work with this machine so I'm using one of those.

How does this marker work?

Thanks

Rodrigo, I have read a couple of your posts and it is obvious that you need some training my man! You should give the boys at mirtec a call and get yourself trained up. They have a really good support team. PV

There is a option to enable no good marking that must be enabled on the board options where you reset your board count and images.

dose the marker zero on startup?. If not then it may also need enabled in the inspector settings.

I don't remember seen any settings for the marker in the board options. But then again I can't remember where the board options are. I haven't turned on the machine in like a week. I haven't really checked if the marker moves when I zero the machine at start up. I know the camera moves to the origin position but I haven't look under the cover to see if the marker moves up/down or the cup open/close. Is it supposed to ? I'll check on Monday and edit this post accordingly.

Thanks

BTW to the other poster ... about trainning. That's an $8500 deal. I'm pretty sure they can fix anything for that much. Besides that decision is out of my hands.

I check the board options tab under the "General" menu and it is set to "no good". There is a "System Settings" that I can go into, but the button that says "Settings" is greyed out. The list shows that the marker is "installed". Neither the pen move up/down nor the cup open/close at start up.

Thanks

Buddy you need to have admin rights to access some of those options.

You'll need to login with Admin rights to apply those settings. Mirtec used to use pretty simple default passwords for admin as I recall. Check the manual, the default logins should be there. 'hege
