we have been using DESCO Statshield Protective smock for about 7 months and some are starting to fail test. Is anyone else having any problems?

I suggest you have a look at the method and detergents used during cleaning / washing these smocks. This would help to understand if the smock properties deteriorated on account of such process. In addition, you could keep one unused sample for over 7 months or more and periodically verify ESD properties. If this sample does not deteriorate with time, you have your answer.
