Hello,

I just have a bit problems with one TM8 what is not always able to put the parts in the right pick position. The wheel with the part stops very often before the pick position. Does anybody have a service manual for the TM8? Thank you very much in advance! Best regards from Germany Axel Joost

Hello SR.Tech,

yes, the general positions from 1 to 16 are ok. I also changed the pressure of the spring what is on the achsis for the tape transport wheels. This helped a lot for the most wheels but not for all. I will try it again. Maybee the pressure is too much. If this will not help then I will open the unit and look what is happen with the 3 "problem" transport wheels.

The spring tension will definitely cause what you were describing. Take a look at the friction plates between the sprockets. If they get real shiny from wear it can cause them to overshoot when the sprocket advances.
