Transfering placement data from Juki 570 to 760 machine | 11 January, 2010

We have recently upgraded our placement machine to a Juki KE760.

We also have 2 Zevatech PM570L's.

All our placement data is on individual floppy disks, they were generated using the 570 machines. Having put the disks into the 760 it does not recognise them. It just shows drive 'a' as empty disk.

The prospect of re-programming all our boards is not too appealing!!

Please tell me this data can be transferred into a format accepted by the 760????

If you are in the US/Canada contact your local Juki distributor and talk with them about this. In ancient history times, I had 570s and upgraded to their newer machines many years ago. At that time they had something that would convert the 570 placement data into a text file and then you can convert that text file into a 760 file. That was so long ago, I don't recall any other details about it.

I do recall this: Your 570 placement data will not be accurate on the 760s. Doing this you can save some initial program creation time, but then you will have to reteach all your placement data on the 760 directly.

We just dropped it and bought CircuitCAM and recreated our programs as needed.

The UK office could offer that software, but its not really worth it as it still requires a lot of further input.

Think its just going to be a case of reprogramming all the boards!!!

You can transfer from 700 to 2000 series, but not 500 to later models.

In old days when Zevatech rebadged JUKI machines their was a dos based program that generated JUKI format files from ASCII Centroid data....(would have to premerge with BOM etc) it also could export from JUKI formats to ASCII.

SO like others I think best to reprogram the machine....

Yes, u're right... U can do with Flexprogram; this is the dos based program that convert a zevatech file in a txt file or viceversa. You simple convert your PM file as txt and reconvert as FM740 format (g3g). After conversion u have to complete component data and pick data. You must be sure to have sw release 1.35 or later on your 760; otherwise u should have problems to read files
