Seth,
From the Siemens technical information document:
Raceway monitoring detects incorrect positioning of the Z axis with respect to the raceway during
motion of the star. This is done by monitoring the current drawn by the Z axis while the star is turning.
If the current exceeds a particular value, the following error message is issued:
"3564 Raceway monitoring triggered"
This incorrect position can lead to early damage of the raceway.
If raceway monitoring is triggered, a reference run is automatically carried out after the board has
been completed. This can compensate for the incorrect position of the Z axis.
If raceway monitoring constantly triggers, however, this indicates permanent incorrect positioning of
the Z axis.
The following are possible causes:
• Incorrect setting of the top Z limit stop (see TI 10C06014)
• Incorrect setting for the P gain or tacho of the Z servo
• Belt tension of the Z axis belt too low (280 Hz ± 10Hz)
• Faulty Z axis motor
• Faulty servo card
• Previously damaged raceway or Z axis aperture
• Damaged Z axis guide
Raceway monitoring is an aid to the operator or service engineer in order to take
preventive action to avoid damage to the raceway and the Z axis guide.
This should point you in the right direction.

Thank you very much for your information, well said.
As of right now I am not using this gantry until I can resolve this issue in a timely manner to prevent it from costly repair. Thanks again for the info.
