We replaced the tactile sensor's linear actuator on a MPM Ultraprint 2000 HiE. Now we are getting a Tactile Hardware limit error every time we try to find the stencil height. I was hoping some one could explain why we're getting this error and any ideas on how to fix it. Both the sensors appear to be working correctly and the machine will reset. Is it reading the position of the motor any other way? When the tactile is in the Up position both senor are show as on in the I/O File. Any help give would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a few ideas: If it has one, make sure the flexible coupler set screws are tight. Replace the tactile switch (often these appear to work fine in I/O but do not work properly in production). Clean and oil the tactile plunger if it has one. Make sure upper and lower limit flags and sensors are in the correct positions. Try doing stencil height toward the back of sencil as sometimes more vibration occurs near the center during stencil height that can trip a touchy switch. Hope this helps you!

Thanks for the suggestions! It ended up being that a wire on the amplifier card in the lower drawer came loose and was making intermittent contact. Tightened all the wires down and the problem has gone away. Now we have a new problem. We had to replace the Z-axis drive card because some how it smoked a large inductor on the board. Now the table seems to be driving too high and it moves the boards past the Y-snuggers and the camera knocks the board off of the board supports. Is there a calibration procedure for the Z-axis? And does anyone have the default password for the calibration section under the users section. Thanks again

Check your DIP switch settings on new driver. Not sure about calibration. Try QMPM for password.

Thank you very much SWAG that password did the trick. Got us into the calibration menu and we were able to calibrate the z-axis and snugger height and got it to work. Thanks again
