We use SMT Research nozzles. They are excellent. As good as if not better than OEM...in my opinion. We have been looking at some other possible suppliers such as Metro.

We have CP4's and CP6's

Any insight much appreciated.

I have dealt with SMT Research myself as well for many years. I would rather pay for quality of a product than just something that seems cheaper. Be on the look out for steel nozzles as they will become magnetized and cuase you many problems. So if you have been dealing with the best why go away from the best?

I think fuji and all the after market suppliers use stainless "hypo" tubing for the tips. It is made from 304 stainless which is normally nonmagnetic. In the process of forming this tubing to the hypo specs it is work hardened to 3/4 to full hardness. Work hardened 304 stainless is magnetic. The degree of magnetism is an indication of hardness and thus wear resistance. We deguass the tubing after deburring in order to clean the tubing better. If your nozzle tips become magnetized do to exposure to a magnetic source, degauss them again and be glad they are hard. I just checked some old Fuji tips and they are magnetic.

Just trialled some NXT nozzles from SMT Xtra - very impressed by the quality of them, I would guess that their CP nozzles would be of similar standard. Had mixed results whilst using Metro nozzles for CP6 equipment, found lengths varying etc. You could try etek europe who also supply high quality nozzles for a range of Fuji equipment, have used them so I know they are good.

Buying nozzles overseas does not work in my experience. I cannot even imagine why anyone would even entertain that concept.

Anyway, we will most likely be phasing our Fuji's out over the next couple years. I have no reason to evaluate new nozzle suppliers right now.
