Hello

For long time we are fighting with problem to reduce/eliminate electrostatic charge caused by board cleaning machine- we re using Teknek machine.

Maybe u guys have idea or from ur experience u know how to reduce electrostatic charge at sensitive components. The charge can damage the electronic components. The charge we've measured at the input of the machine was 2000V(we have double side board).

regards peter

Hi Piotr,

is your Teknek 'armed' with de-ionisation tool?, where exactly did you measure the discharge? we have one Teknek offline but 2 new waiting to get inline ;) wonder if we need some special attention for them

On tacky rollers. Ionizators is ok but Im not sure to that this solution guarantee us reduced to 100V value (this is what we need). We dont have ionizators on arms

Depending on what model you have, they should come with anti-stat bars. They could be worn.

I haven't seen this technology used in years. Are you running product in a "clean-room"?

Yes cleanness is respect. Our customer require this solution with cleanning board. We've got Teknek SMCM2 What do u mean by anti-stat bars?

Hi Pete,

I am familiar with their CM series machine. They have anti static bars inside the machine.

If I were you I would measure the board after this machine to see if it retains any ESD. If not I don't think you have a problem.

Do u use antistatic rollers inside machine? because I'm not sure that fitting anti-static bars at the entrance side of the machine will help(thats doubt even from Teknek side)
