We've had a customer request that we check the PPM level of oxygen at our wave solder's inerters. I'm looking on the web, and there seems to be a huge variety of these instruments. Can anyone make a recommendation on one that is working for you? Thanks John

You should have a a gauge on your wave that you could convert to PPM. Save you a few bucks and headaches.

You might consider an oxygen monitor (or lack of oxygen monitor).

A fast response-rate analyzer should be used. There are several types of analyzers on the market and each has different limitations. * If you are looking for a measurement ranging from air to ppm O2 then an electrochemical or micro-fuel cell analyzer might be the best choice. * Electrolytic cell systems can also accurately measure a low ppm or ppb O2 level. In both cases, options such as alarms, internal pumps, and a bench top design may be desirable. In all cases, care must be taken to prevent the cell from being rapidly destroyed by flux vapors contained in the equipment. New and special filters can help prevent this problem which ensures protection for the expensive cell and reliability for the measurements. [airliquide.com]
