Vision Master 150 problems

Hi guys,

Has anyone ever had experiance with a Vision Master 150 ?, we have 2 onsite and I am trying to get accurate BGA paste height measurements from this machine, but both the machines are giving me results with huge variations, like +/- 0.2 thousanths of an inch... the machines are over 5 years old and the CCD resolution is 640*400 which is about 0.3 mega pixels.

Do you think the resolution on these machines is good enough to measure 0.16 pitch BGA paste ?
