Siemens Siplace S15 Operating

We have a Siplace S15 and I would like to know if it is possible to make it skip a part during the placement operation with out aborting the job? In section 5.4.4.4 of the user's manual it describes how to set a track to empty and proceed on with the placement with out the machine going to that track for a component. When I have tried this it will not continue and gives the error number 203 which is track set empty by operator. I have also unplugged the feeder and tried to contintue and get the same error. The HS-180 machines will allow you to skip a part and place all other parts. Is this possible on the siplace machines?
