SMTA Supports Workforce Training Initiative with Gogebic Community College

Jul 31, 2023

The SMTA Workforce Development Program announces an open house on August 4, 2023 at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, MI, USA. The event provides an opportunity for students and staff of the college to highlight their new Mechatronics program and how it addresses critical shortages in the U.S. electronics industry workforce.

Working with regional electronic manufacturers, Burton EMS, and Calumet Electronics, Gogebic Community College started the new program targeting basic electronic manufacturing skills, building technical staff in the electronics manufacturing industries for the western Great Lakes region.
