As for machine operating systems go, I prefer Windows NT over OS/2 anyday (though I grunge at the thought of promoting ANYTHING microsoft.) Since these are usually the only multi-tasking systems that are used frequently, it's not much of a choice.
My true preference is for a machine to have a unique operating system that is designed around the performance of the machine. The old Philips CSM 66/84's were classic examples.
